ਸਵੈਯਾ ॥

ਸਵੈਯਾ:

ਕੈਸੇ ਹੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਯੋ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਨਿਸਾਚਰ ਜੁਧ ਸਭੈ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਭਟ ਹਾਰੇ ॥

‘The entire combatants lost their wills (to fight more) because the devil could not be annihilated.

ਸਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਸੈਨਿਕ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਥਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀ ਦੈਂਤ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ।

ਬਾਨ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨ ਗਦਾ ਬਰਛੀਨ ਕੇ ਭਾਤਿ ਅਨੇਕਨ ਘਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਹਾਰੇ ॥

In spite of the wielding swords, maces, spears and trying to hit him many a times,

ਬਾਣਾਂ, ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਾਂ, ਗਦਾਵਾਂ, ਬਰਛੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਅਨੇਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਵਾਰ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।

ਸੋ ਨਹਿ ਭਾਜਤ ਗਾਜਤ ਹੈ ਰਨ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਵਰਤਨ ਕ︀ਯੋ ਹੂੰ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥

He never ran away, instead, he roared more and more.

ਪਰ ਉਹ ਭਜਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ, ਰਣ ਵਿਚ (ਡਟ ਕੇ) ਗਜਦਾ ਹੈ। (ਉਹ) ਕਿਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵੀ (ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਹਟਾਇਆਂ ਹਟਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ।
