ਚੌਪਈ ॥

ਚੌਪਈ:

ਅਸਤਾਚਲ ਸੂਰਜ ਜਬ ਗਯੋ ॥

ਸ਼ਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਦ ਸੂਰਜ ਡੁਬ ਗਿਆ

ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀ ਦਿਸ ਤੇ ਸਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਯੋ ॥

In the evening when the Sun set and the Moon rose from west,

ਅਤੇ ਪੂਰਬ ਵਲੋਂ ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਨਿਕਲ ਆਇਆ।

ਭਾਗਵਤਿਨ ਉਪਜ︀ਯੋ ਸੁਖ ਭਾਰੋ ॥

Then the lucky ones attained the supreme comforts, but the Moon-

ਭਾਗਾਂ ਭਰੀਆਂ (ਦੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ) ਬਹੁਤ ਸੁਖ ਪੈਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
