ਚੌਪਈ:

ਜਾ ਦਿਨ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਯਾਰੋ ਪੈਯੈ ॥

She thought, the day she achieved her lover, she would feel sanctified.

ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ (ਮੈਂ) ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਿਤਰ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਾਂਗੀ,

ਤੌਨ ਘਰੀ ਉਪਰ ਬਲਿ ਜੈਯੈ ॥

ਉਸ ਘੜੀ ਉਤੇ (ਮੈਂ) ਕੁਰਬਾਨ ਜਾਵਾਂਗੀ।

ਬਿਰਹੁ ਬਧੀ ਚੇਰੀ ਤਿਹ ਭਈ ॥

To save the alienation, she decided o accepted his enslavement

ਬਿਰਹੋਂ ਦੀ ਵਿੰਨ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਬਣ ਗਈ
