ਕਬਿਤੁ ॥

ਕਬਿੱਤ:

ਦਾਦੁਰੀ ਚਬਾਈ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਮੂਰਿਯੋ ਧਸਾਈ ਘਨੀ ਧੇਰਿਨ ਚੁਗਾਈ ਵਾਹਿ ਜੂਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

She made him to eat the offspring of the frogs. Made him to work in the field to sow radishes. Got his head beaten with slippers and sent him out to graze his sheep.

(ਉਸ ਵੈਦ ਨੇ) ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਛੱਲੀ ਚਬਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਮੂਲੀ ਵੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਜੁਤੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਮਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਕਰੀਆ ਚਰਵਾਈਆਂ।

ਰਾਖ ਸਿਰ ਪਾਈ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਮੂੰਛੈ ਭੀ ਮੁੰਡਾਈ ਦੋਊ ਐਸੀ ਲੀਕੈ ਲਾਈ ਕੋਊ ਸਕੈ ਨ ਉਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

His head was strewn with dust and his moustache was shaved off His condition became indescribable.

ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਵਿਚ ਛਾਈ ਪਵਾਈ, ਦੋਵੇਂ ਮੁੱਛਾਂ ਵੀ ਮੁਨਵਾਈਆਂ; (ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ) ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਲੀਕ ਲਗਾਈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਕੋਈ ਬਿਆਨ ਨਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕਦਾ।

ਗੋਦਰੀ ਡਰਾਈ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਭੀਖ ਭੀ ਮੰਗਾਈ ਤਿਹ ਐਸੋ ਕੈ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਤਾਹਿ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਤੇ ਨਿਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ॥

He was thrown out of the house to beg wearing a patched coat.

(ਉਸ ਨੂੰ) ਗੋਦੜੀ ਪਵਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਫਿਰ ਉਸ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਭਿਖ ਵੀ ਮੰਗਵਾਈ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਚਰਿਤ੍ਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਰੋਂ ਕਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
