ਚੌਪਈ:
ਅੰਤਕ ਜਮ ਜਬ ਲੈਨੇ ਆਵੈ ॥
(ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ) ਜਦ ਅੰਤਕ ਅਤੇ ਯਮ ਲੈਣ ਆਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ
ਲਖਿ ਤਿਹ ਕੋ ਤਬ ਬਾਨ ਚਲਾਵੈ ॥
When the messengers of Yama came to take him, he even discharged his arrows towards them
ਤਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਬਾਣ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੇਖ ਕੈ ਇਤ ਉਤ ਟਰੈ ॥
ਮ੍ਰਿਤੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਇਧਰ ਉਧਰ ਹਟ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਮਾਰਿਓ ਕਾਲ ਹੂੰ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਮਰੈ ॥੧੭੧੨॥
He moved here and there, feeling his death at hand, but on being killed by the Kal (death), he was not dying.1712.
ਕਾਲ ਦਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਵੀ ਮਰਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੧੨॥
ਪੁਨਿ ਸਤ੍ਰਨਿ ਦਿਸਿ ਰਿਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਧਾਯੋ ॥
ਫਿਰ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਵਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਦੌੜਿਆ ਹੈ
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਜਮ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਧਰਿ ਆਯੋ ॥
He again, in his fury, fell upon in the direction of the enemy and it seemed that Yama himself was coming in person
ਮਾਨੋ ਯਮ ਦਾ ਰੂਪ ਧਾਰ ਕੇ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਵੇ।
ਇਉ ਸੁ ਜੁਧੁ ਬੈਰਿਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਰਿਓ ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
ਹਰਿ ਹਰ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੁਭਟਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਡਰਿਓ ॥੧੭੧੩॥
He began to fight with the enemies, when, observing this, Krishna and Shiva were infuriated in their minds.1713.
ਸ਼ਿਵ, ਵਿਸ਼ਣੂ, ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਅਤੇ (ਹੋਰ) ਯੋਧਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਡਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ॥੧੭੧੩॥
