ਚੌਪਈ ॥
ਚੌਪਈ:
ਐਸੋ ਬੀਰ ਖੇਤ ਤਹ ਪਰਿਯੋ ॥
ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਪਏ ਸਨ।
ਏਕ ਬੀਰ ਸਾਬਤ ਨ ਉਬਰਿਯੋ ॥
Most of the soldiers, while fighting, were injured and none was spared.
ਇਕ ਵੀ ਸੂਰਮਾ ਸਾਬਤ ਸਬੂਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਰਾਜਾ ਜੂ ਖੇਤ ਗਿਰਿ ਗਏ ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਵੀ ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਡਿਗ ਪਿਆ,
ਜੀਵਤ ਰਹੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਤਕ ਨਹਿ ਭਏ ॥੧੨॥
The Raja fell down in the field but was still alive and had not died.(12)
ਪਰ ਜੀਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ, ਮਰਿਆ ਨਹੀਂ ॥੧੨॥
