ਚੌਪਈ:
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਤੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਚਲਾਏ ॥
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਚਲੇ।
ਦੁਹੂੰ ਓਰ ਬਾਦਿਤ੍ਰ ਬਜਾਏ ॥
Both sides flaunted the arms and both sides played the war trumpets.
ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪਾਸਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਾਜੇ ਵਜੇ।
ਐਸੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਨ ਡਾਰੀ ॥
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਅਜਿਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਪਈ
ਏਕ ਨ ਉਬਰੀ ਜੀਵਤ ਨਾਰੀ ॥੧੭॥
The swords were brandished in such intensity that most of the women were killed.(17)
ਕਿ ਇਕ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਵੀ ਜੀਉਂਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਚੀ ॥੧੭॥
