ਮਃ ੫ ॥
Fifth Mehl:
ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਸੁਭ ਚਿੰਤਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਰਮਣ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗ ॥
Bless me with sublime thoughts, O Lord of the Universe, and contemplation in the immaculate Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy.
ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ-ਸੰਗ ਕਰਾਂ, ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਦਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਰਾਂ ਤੇ ਭਲੀਆਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ ਸੋਚਾਂ, ਸੁਭ = ਭਲੀ। ਚਿੰਤਨ = ਸੋਚ। ਰਮਣ = ਸਿਮਰਨ। ਨਿਰਮਲੁ = ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ।
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵਿਸਰਉ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥੨॥
O Nanak, may I never forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord, for even an instant; be merciful to me, Lord God. ||2||
ਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨ! ਮੈਂ ਨਾਨਕ ਉਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਇਕ ਘੜੀ ਭਰ ਭੀ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਨਾਹ ਭੁਲਾਵਾਂ ॥੨॥ ਨ ਵਿਸਰਉ = ਨਾਹ ਭੁਲਾਵਾਂ ॥੨॥
