ਚੌਪਈ:
ਗੋਰਸ ਦੁਹਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਯਹਿ ਤਹ ਲ︀ਯਾਵੈ ॥
ਦੁੱਧ ਚੋਣ ਲਈ (ਉਹ) ਇਸਤਰੀ (ਮਹੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ) ਉਥੇ ਲਿਆਉਂਦੀ ਸੀ
ਸਮੈ ਪਾਇ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਹ ਜਾਵੈ ॥
She used to bring buffaloes there for milking and at the same time Raja would reach there as well.
ਅਤੇ ਮੌਕਾ ਤਾੜ ਕੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਵੀ ਉਥੇ ਚਲਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
ਦੁਹਤ ਛੀਰਿ ਕਟਿਯਾ ਦੁਖ ਦੇਈ ॥
She used to bring buffaloes there for milking and at the same time Raja would reach there as well.
ਦੁੱਧ ਚੋਣ ਵੇਲੇ ਕਟੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੰਗ ਕਰਦੀ ਸੀ,
ਤ੍ਰਿਯ ਕਹ ਭਾਖਿ ਤਾਹਿ ਗਹਿ ਲੇਈ ॥੫॥
Whenever the calf troubled the milk-man, he used to call her to hold it (the calf).(5)
(ਤਦ ਉਹ ਗੁਜਰ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਟੀ ਪਕੜਨ ਲਈ ਬੁਲਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ॥੫॥
