ਚੌਪਈ:
ਚੁਪ ਤਬ ਤੇ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਰਹੇ ਖੁਦਾਈ ॥
ਤਦ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਲਾਣੇ ਚੁਪ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ।
ਕਾਹੂ ਸਾਥ ਨ ਰਾਰਿ ਬਢਾਈ ॥
Since then the Muslim priests attained patience and never indulged in bickering.
(ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ) ਕਿਸੇ ਨਾਲ ਝਗੜਾ ਨਾ ਵਧਾਇਆ।
ਸੋਈ ਕਰੈ ਜੁ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਕਹੈ ॥
ਉਹੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਸਨ ਜੋ ਹਿੰਦੂ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਸਨ
ਤੁਹਮਤਿ ਦੈ ਕਾਹੂੰ ਨ ਗਹੈ ॥੧੫॥
They performed according to the wishes of the Hindus and never blamed any body falsely.(l5)(1)
ਅਤੇ ਤੋਹਮਤ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਪਕੜਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਨ ॥੧੫॥
