ਚੌਪਈ:
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਸੌ ਕਹੀ ॥
ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਿੰਘ (ਰਾਜੇ) ਨੇ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ
ਹਮ ਤੇ ਸਕਲ ਕੁਕ੍ਰਿਯਾ ਰਹੀ ॥
There Raja Chiter Singh to the Minister, ‘Whatever you said, it has eliminated any treachery from my mind.
ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਸਾਰੀ ਮਾੜੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਆ (ਕਰਮ) ਕਰਨੋ ਰਹਿ ਗਈ ਹੈ (ਅਰਥਾਤ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ)।
ਤੁਮ ਜੋ ਹਮ ਸੌ ਬਚਨ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥

ਤੂੰ ਜੋ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬੋਲ ਕਹੇ ਹਨ
ਜਾਨੁਕ ਸੁਧਾ ਸ੍ਰਵਨ ਭਰਿ ਡਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
‘Whatever you tell me, it is like putting nectar into my ears.’(1)
ਮਾਨੋ ਕੰਨਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ॥੧॥
