ਅਥ ਰੁਕਮਿਨਿ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਕਥਨੰ ॥
Now begins the description of the Marriage of Rukmani
ਹੁਣ ਰੁਕਮਨਿ ਦੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਕਥਨ:

ਬਲਿਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਭਯੋ ਜਬ ਹੀ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੈ ਨਰ ਨਾਰਿ ਤਬੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਯੋ ॥
ਜਦੋਂ ਬਲਰਾਮ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਹੋਇਆ, ਤਦ ਸਭ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਨੇ (ਬਹੁਤ) ਸੁਖ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਸ੍ਰੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਜਨਾਥ ਕੇ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਕੋ ਕਬਿ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਕਹੈ ਜੀਅਰਾ ਲਲਚਾਯੋ ॥
When the marriage of Balram was soleminsed and all the men and women were pleased, then Krishna also coveted for marriage in his mind
ਕਵੀ ਸ਼ਿਆਮ ਕਹਿੰਦੇ ਹਨ, (ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ) ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਈ ਲਲਚਾਉਣ ਲਗਿਆ।
ਭੀਖਮ ਬ︀ਯਾਹ ਉਤੇ ਦੁਹਤਾ ਕੋ ਰਚਿਓ ਅਪਨੋ ਸਭ ਸੈਨ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
The king Bhishma celebrated the marriage of his daughter and gathered together all the warriors of his army
ਉਧਰ ਭੀਖਮ (ਰਾਜਾ ਭੀਸ਼ਮਕ) ਨੇ (ਆਪਣੀ) ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਰਚਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਿਆ (ਅਰਥਾਂਤਰ ਸਾਰੇ ਸਾਕ ਸੈਣ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਏ)।
ਮਾਨਹੁ ਆਪਨੇ ਬ︀ਯਾਹਹਿ ਕੋ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਭਲੀ ਬਿਧਿ ਬ︀ਯੋਤ ਬਨਾਯੋ ॥੧੯੬੮॥
It appeared that Krishna had prepared nicely his plan of marriage.1968.
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਲਈ ਚੰਗੀ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿਉਂਤ ਬਣਾਈ ਹੈ ॥੧੯੬੮॥
ਭੀਖਮ ਭੂਪ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਯੋ ਦੁਹਤਾ ਇਹ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਜਦੁਬੀਰ ਕੋ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
ਰਾਜਾ ਭੀਖਮ ਨੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਪੁੱਤਰੀ ਮੈਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੇ ਦੇਵਾਂ।
ਯਾ ਤੇ ਭਲੋ ਨ ਕਛੂ ਕਹੂੰ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਸ︀ਯਾਮ ਲਹੈ ਜਗ ਮੈ ਜਸੁ ਲੀਜੈ ॥
The king Bhishma arranged the marriage of his daughter with Krishna thinking that there could be no more suitable task than this and marrying his daughter with Krishna would bring also approbation for him
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਚੰਗਾ (ਹੋਰ) ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਨੂੰ (ਜਵਾਈ ਰੂਪ ਵਿਚ) ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਯਸ਼ ਖਟੀਏ।
ਤਉ ਲਗਿ ਆਇ ਗਯੋ ਰੁਕਮੀ ਰਿਸਿ ਬੋਲ ਉਠਿਯੋ ਸੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਕਸ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
The son of Bhishma named Rukmi then came and said to his father in rage, “What are you doing?
ਉਦੋਂ ਤਕ (ਭੀਸ਼ਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ) ਰੁਕਮੀ (ਉਥੇ) ਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਬੋਲ ਪਿਆ, ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਜੀ! ਕੀ ਕਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਹੋ।
ਜਾ ਕੁਲ ਕੀ ਨ ਬਿਵਾਹਤ ਹੈ ਹਮ ਤਾ ਦੁਹਿਤਾ ਦੈ ਕਹਾ ਜਗੁ ਜੀਜੈ ॥੧੯੬੯॥
The clan, with which we have enmity, now shall we be able to live in the world, giving our daughter in marriage to such a clan?1969.
ਜਿਸ ਕੁਲ ਦੀ (ਲੜਕੀ) ਅਸੀਂ ਵਿਆਹੁੰਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ, ਉਸ (ਕੁਲ) ਨੂੰ ਲੜਕੀ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜਗਤ ਵਿਚ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਜੀਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਾਂਗੇ ॥੧੯੬੯॥
