ਚੌਪਈ:
ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਮਾਧਵ ਬੋਲਿ ਪਠਾਯੋ ॥
ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮਾਜੀਤ ਨੇ ਮਾਧਵਾਨਲ ਨੂੰ ਬੁਲਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ।
ਆਦਰੁ ਦੈ ਆਸਨੁ ਬੈਠਾਯੋ ॥
Bikrim called Madhwan and asked him respectfully to be seated.
ਆਦਰ ਪੂਰਵਕ ਆਸਣ ਉਤੇ ਬਿਠਾਇਆ
ਕਹਸਿ ਦਿਜਾਗ੍ਰਯਾ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੁ ਕਰਿਹੌ ॥
(Madhwan said) ‘Whatever the Brahmin priest orders,
ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੇ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ! ਜੋ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿਓ, ਉਹੀ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ।
ਪ੍ਰਾਨਨ ਲਗੇ ਹੇਤੁ ਤੁਹਿ ਲਰਿਹੋ ॥੩੯॥
I will abide by, even I may have to fight,’(39)
ਜੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਣ ਵੀ ਲਗ ਜਾਣ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਲੜਾਂਗਾ ॥੩੯॥
ਜਬ ਮਾਧਵ ਕਹਿ ਭੇਦ ਸੁਨਾਯੋ ॥
When Madhwan told the whole story,
ਜਦ ਮਾਧਵਾਨਲ ਨੇ ਭੇਦ ਦਸਿਆ,
ਤਬ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮ ਸਭ ਸੈਨ ਬੁਲਾਯੋ ॥
Bikrim called all his army.
ਤਾਂ ਬਿਕ੍ਰਮਜੀਤ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਬੁਲਾ ਲਈ।
ਸਾਜੇ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਕੌਚ ਤਨ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
Arming themselves and putting the armour
ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਧਾਰ ਲਏ ਅਤੇ (ਸ਼ਰੀਰ ਉਤੇ) ਕਵਚ ਪਾ ਲਏ
ਕਾਮਵਤੀ ਕੀ ਓਰ ਸਿਧਾਰੇ ॥੪੦॥
They commenced march to the direction of Kamwati.(40)
ਅਤੇ ਕਾਮਵਤੀ ਨਗਰੀ ਵਲ ਤੁਰ ਪਏ ॥੪੦॥
