ਚੌਪਈ:
ਪ੍ਰਥਮ ਮਾਰਿ ਬਾਨਨ ਕੀ ਪਰੀ ॥
ਪਹਿਲੀ ਮਾਰ ਤੀਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਈ।
ਦੁਤਿਯ ਮਾਰਿ ਸੈਥਿਨ ਸੌ ਧਰੀ ॥
Primarily the arrows dominated, then the spears sparkled.
ਦੂਜੀ ਮਾਰ ਬਰਛੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਤਿਯ ਜੁਧ ਤਰਵਾਰਿਨ ਪਰਿਯੋ ॥
ਤੀਜਾ ਯੁੱਧ ਤਲਵਾਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ।
ਚੌਥੋ ਭੇਰ ਕਟਾਰਿਨ ਕਰਿਯੋ ॥੧੬॥
Then the swords and then the daggers glittered.(16)
