ਦੋਹਰਾ:
ਜੁਝੈ ਜੁਝਊਆ ਕੇ ਬਜੇ ਸੂਰਬੀਰ ਸਮੁਹਾਇ ॥
As soon as the music of death rolled, the dauntless ones faced each other.
ਜੰਗੀ ਨਗਾਰਿਆ ਦੇ ਵਜਣ ਨਾਲ ਜੁਝਾਰੂ (ਇਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਦੇ) ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਲੜਨ ਲਗੇ।
ਗਜੇ ਸੁੰਦ ਅਪਸੁੰਦ ਤਬ ਢੋਲ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਬਜਾਇ ॥੧੫॥
In the accompaniment of the drums, Sandh and Apsandh roared.(15)
ਤਦ ਢੋਲ ਅਤੇ ਮ੍ਰਿਦੰਗ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਸੁੰਦ ਅਤੇ ਉਪਸੁੰਦ ਗੱਜਣ ਲਗੇ ॥੧੫॥
