ਦੋਹਰਾ:
ਚੌਛਤਾ ਪਰ ਤਬ ਤਰੁਨਿ ਚੋਰਨ ਦਿਯੌ ਚਰਾਇ ॥
The woman sent the thieves to upstairs,
ਤਦ (ਉਸ) ਇਸਤਰੀ ਨੇ ਚੋਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੌਬਾਰੇ ਉਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ
ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਹੀ ਚਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਲੀਨੇ ਬਰੇ ਪਕਾਇ ॥੮॥
And herself, putting the saucepan on fire, commenced cooking.(8)
ਅਤੇ ਆਪ ਕੜਾਹੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾ ਕੇ ਵੜੇ ਪਕਾ ਲਏ ॥੮॥
