BHUJANG PRAYAAT STANZA
ਭੁਜੰਗ ਪ੍ਰਯਾਤ ਛੰਦ:
ਜਬੈ ਜੰਗ ਜੰਗੀ ਰਚਿਓ ਜੰਗ ਜੋਰੰ ॥
ਜਦੋਂ 'ਜੰਗ ਜੰਗੀ' (ਨਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਯੋਧੇ) ਨੇ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਜੰਗ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ (ਉਦੋਂ) ਬਹੁਤ ਬਾਂਕੇ ਵੀਰ ਮਾਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ।
ਹਨੇ ਬੀਰ ਬੰਕੇ ਤਮੰ ਜਾਣੁ ਭੋਰੰ ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਸਵੇਰ ਹੁੰਦੇ ਹਨੇਰਾ (ਭਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੋਵੇ)।
ਤਬੈ ਕੋਪਿ ਗਰਜਿਓ ਕਲਕੀ ਅਵਤਾਰੰ ॥
ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਕਲਕੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਗਰਜਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੈ।
ਸਜੇ ਸਰਬ ਸਸਤ੍ਰੰ ਧਸਿਓ ਲੋਹ ਧਾਰੰ ॥੪੮੧॥
When the warriors waged a powerful war, many elegant fighters were killed, then Kalki thundered and bedecked with all the weapons, penetrated into the current of steel-weapons.481.
ਸਾਰੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰ ਸਜਾ ਕੇ (ਯੁੱਧ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ) ਧਸ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ (ਹਥਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ) ਬਰਖਾ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ॥੪੮੧॥
ਜਯਾ ਸਬਦ ਉਠੇ ਰਹੇ ਲੋਗ ਪੂਰੰ ॥
ਜੈ-ਜੈ-ਕਾਰ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਠੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਭਰ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਖੁਰੰ ਖੇਹ ਉਠੀ ਛੁਹੀ ਜਾਇ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
(ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ) ਖੁਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਧੂੜ ਉਡੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ (ਉਸ ਨੇ) ਸੂਰਜ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਛੋਹਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਛੁਟੇ ਸ੍ਵਰਨਪੰਖੀ ਭਯੋ ਅੰਧਕਾਰੰ ॥
ਸੋਨੇ ਦੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਤੀਰ ਚਲੇ ਹਨ (ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਫਲਸਰੂਪ) ਹਨੇਰਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਅੰਧਾਧੁੰਦ ਮਚੀ ਉਠੀ ਸਸਤ੍ਰ ਝਾਰੰ ॥੪੮੨॥

ਅੰਧਾ ਧੁੰਧ ਮਾਰ ਮਚ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸ਼ਸਤ੍ਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਝਾੜਨ ਨਾਲ (ਅੱਗ ਦੀਆਂ) ਚਿੰਗਾਰੀਆਂ ਨਿਕਲੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੪੮੨॥
ਹਣਿਓ ਜੋਰ ਜੰਗੰ ਤਜਿਓ ਸਰਬ ਸੈਣੰ ॥
'ਜੋਰ ਜੰਗ' (ਨਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਯੋਧਾ) ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੀ ਸੈਨਾ ਭਜ ਗਈ।
ਤ੍ਰਿਣੰ ਦੰਤ ਥਾਭੈ ਬਕੈ ਦੀਨ ਬੈਣੰ ॥
ਦੰਦਾਂ ਵਿਚ ਘਾਹ ਦਬ ਕੇ ਆਜਿਜ਼ੀ ਭਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਮਿਲੇ ਦੈ ਅਕੋਰੰ ਨਿਹੋਰੰਤ ਰਾਜੰ ॥
ਨਜ਼ਰਾਨੇ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਿਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਹਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ) ਰਾਜੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਭਜੇ ਗਰਬ ਸਰਬੰ ਤਜੇ ਰਾਜ ਸਾਜੰ ॥੪੮੩॥
In that dreadful war, the army, being destroyed, ran away and pressing straw between the teeth, it began to shout with humility, seeing this the king also abandoned his pride and ran away leaving behind his kingdom and all his paraphernalia.483.
ਹੰਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ ਖ਼ਤਮ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜਸੀ ਠਾਠ-ਬਾਠ ਛਡ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹਨ ॥੪੮੩॥
ਕਟੇ ਕਾਸਮੀਰੀ ਹਠੇ ਕਸਟਵਾਰੀ ॥
ਕਸ਼ਮੀਰੀ ਕਟੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਠੀ ਕਸ਼ਟਵਾੜੀ (ਪਿਛੇ ਹਟ ਗਏ ਹਨ)।
ਕੁਪੇ ਕਾਸਕਾਰੀ ਬਡੇ ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ॥
ਕਾਸ਼ਗਰ ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ 'ਕਾਸਕਾਰੀ' ਵੱਡੇ ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
ਬਲੀ ਬੰਗਸੀ ਗੋਰਬੰਦੀ ਗ੍ਰਦੇਜੀ ॥
ਬੰਗਾਲ ਦੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ, ਗੋਰਬੰਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਜ (ਦੇ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ)
ਮਹਾ ਮੂੜ ਮਾਜਿੰਦ੍ਰਰਾਨੀ ਮਜੇਜੀ ॥੪੮੪॥
Many Kashmiri and patient, persistent and enduring warriors were chopped and killed and many canopied, many mighty Gurdezi fighters and fighters of other countries, who were siding that king with great foolishness, were defeated.484.
ਮਾਜਿੰਦ੍ਰਰਾਨ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਮਹਾ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਤੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ (ਆਦਿ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ) ॥੪੮੪॥
ਹਣੇ ਰੂਸਿ ਤੂਸੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਤੀ ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਜੋਧੀ ॥
ਰੂਸ ਦੇ, ਤੂਸ ਦੇ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਯੋਧੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਹਠੇ ਪਾਰਸੀ ਯਦ ਖੂਬਾ ਸਕ੍ਰੋਧੀ ॥
ਫ਼ਾਰਸ ਦੇ ਹਠੀਲੇ, ਬਲਵਾਨ ਬਾਂਹਵਾਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਅਤੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ,
ਬੁਰੇ ਬਾਗਦਾਦੀ ਸਿਪਾਹਾ ਕੰਧਾਰੀ ॥
ਬੁਰੇ ਬਗਦਾਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਧਾਰ ਦੇ ਸਿਪਾਹੀ, ਕਲਮਾਛ (ਤਾਤਾਰ ਦੇਸ਼) ਦੇ
ਕੁਲੀ ਕਾਲਮਾਛਾ ਛੁਭੇ ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ॥੪੮੫॥
The Russians,Turkistanis, Sayyads and other persistent and angry fighters were killed, the dreadful fighting soldiers of Kandhar and many other canopied and angry warriors were also made lifeless.485.
ਕੁਲੀ (ਜੋ) ਛਤ੍ਰਧਾਰੀ ਹਨ, ਬਹੁਤ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ॥੪੮੫॥
ਛੁਟੇ ਬਾਣ ਗੋਲੰ ਉਠੇ ਅਗ ਨਾਲੰ ॥
ਬਾਣ ਛੁਟਦੇ ਹਨ, ਬੰਦੂਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਗੋਲੇ ਉਠਦੇ ਹਨ।
ਘੁਰੇ ਜਾਣ ਸ︀ਯਾਮੰ ਘਟਾ ਜਿਮਿ ਜ੍ਵਾਲੰ ॥
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਕਾਲੀਆਂ ਘਟਾਵਾਂ ਗੂੰਜਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ (ਆਤਿਸ਼ਬਾਜੀ ਵਿਚੋਂ) ਅੱਗ ਨਿਕਲਦੀ ਹੈ।
ਨਚੇ ਈਸ ਸੀਸੰ ਪੁਐ ਰੁੰਡ ਮਾਲੰ ॥
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਨਚਦਾ ਹੈ, ਰੁੰਡਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਲਾ ਵਿਚ ਪਰੋਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
ਜੁਝੇ ਬੀਰ ਧੀਰੰ ਬਰੈ ਬੀਨਿ ਬਾਲੰ ॥੪੮੬॥

ਧੀਰਜ ਵਾਲੇ ਸੂਰਮੇ ਜੂਝਦੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣ ਚੁਣ ਕੇ ਵਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੪੮੬॥
ਗਿਰੈ ਅੰਗ ਭੰਗੰ ਭ੍ਰਮੰ ਰੁੰਡ ਮੁੰਡੰ ॥
(ਕਿਤੇ) ਅੰਗ ਕਟ ਕੇ ਡਿਗ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ (ਅਤੇ ਕਿਤੇ) ਰੁੰਡ ਅਤੇ ਮੁੰਡ ਫਿਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਗਜੀ ਬਾਜ ਗਾਜੀ ਗਿਰੈ ਬੀਰ ਝੁੰਡੰ ॥
(ਕਿਤੇ) ਹਾਥੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਰ, ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਾਰ, ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਡਿਗੇ ਪਏ ਹਨ।
ਇਕੰ ਹਾਕ ਹੰਕੈਤਿ ਧਰਕੈਤ ਸੂਰੰ ॥
ਇਕਨਾਂ ਵਲੋਂ ਹਾਕਾਂ ਪੈਂਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ) ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ (ਦੇ ਦਿਲ) ਧੜਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਉਠੇ ਤਛ ਮੁਛੰ ਭਈ ਲੋਹ ਪੂਰੰ ॥੪੮੭॥
