CHHAPI STANZA
ਛਪੈ ਛੰਦ:
ਲਏ ਸੰਗ ਨ੍ਰਿਪ ਸਰਬ ਬਜੇ ਬਿਜਈ ਦੁੰਦਭਿ ਰਣ ॥
The king took all alongwith him and the drums of victory sounded
(ਕਲਕੀ ਨੇ) ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿਚ ਜਿਤ ਦੇ ਨਗਾਰੇ ਵਜਾਏ ਹਨ।
ਸੁਭੇ ਸੂਰ ਸੰਗ੍ਰਾਮ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਰੀਝਈ ਅਪਛਰ ਗਣ ॥
The warriors gathered in the battlefield and seeing them, the heavenly damsels were allured
ਯੁੱਧ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਭਾਇਮਾਨ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਝੁੰਡ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਛਕੇ ਦੇਵ ਆਦੇਵ ਜਕੇ ਗੰਧਰਬ ਜਛ ਬਰ ॥
The gods, demons and Gandharvas all were filled with wonder and pleased
ਦੇਵਤੇ ਆਨੰਦਿਤ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਦੈਂਤ, ਗੰਧਰਬ ਅਤੇ ਉਤਮ ਯਕਸ਼ ਝਿਝਕ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਚਕੇ ਭੂਤ ਅਰੁ ਪ੍ਰੇਤ ਸਰਬ ਬਿਦਿਆਧਰ ਨਰ ਬਰ ॥
All ghosts, fiends and superb Vidyadharis wondered
ਸਾਰੇ ਭੂਤ, ਪ੍ਰੇਤ, ਵਿਦਿਆਧਰ ਅਤੇ ਸ੍ਰੇਸ਼ਠ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
ਖੰਕੜੀਯ ਕਾਲ ਕ੍ਰੂਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਬਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰੀਯ ॥
Kalki (Lord) thundered as a manifestation of KAL (death) and he was eulogized in various ways
ਵਿਨਾਸ਼ਕ ਅਤੇ ਕਠੋਰ ਪ੍ਰਭਾ ਵਾਲੇ ਕਾਲ (ਕਲਕੀ) ਦੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਉਸਤਤ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
ਖੰਡਨ ਅਖੰਡ ਚੰਡੀ ਮਹਾ ਜਯ ਜ੍ਰਯ ਜ੍ਰਯ ਸਬਦੋਚਰੀਯ ॥੫੪੨॥
The destroyer of invincible warriors like Chandika, the Lord Kalki was being hailed.542.
ਨਾ ਖੰਡੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਖੰਡਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲੀ ਮਹਾਕਾਲੀ ਜੈ-ਜੈ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ ਉਚਾਰ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੫੪੨॥
ਭਿੜਿਯ ਭੇੜ ਲੜਖੜਿਯ ਮੇਰੁ ਝੜਪੜਿਯ ਪਤ੍ਰ ਬਣ ॥
The armies fought with each other, the Sumeru mountain trembled, and the leaves of the forest quivered and fell
ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਲੜ ਪਈਆਂ ਹਨ, ਸੁਮੇਰ ਪਰਬਤ ਲੜਖੜਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਬਨ ਵਿਚ ਪੱਤਰ ਝੜਨ ਲਗ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਡੁਲਿਯ ਇੰਦੁ ਤੜਫੜ ਫਨਿੰਦ ਸੰਕੁੜਿਯ ਦ੍ਰਵਣ ਗਣ ॥
Indra and Sheshnaga writhed on becoming agitated
ਇੰਦਰ ਡੋਲ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਨਾਗ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਦ੍ਰਵਿਤ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਗਣ ਸੁੰਗੜ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਚਕਿਯੋ ਗਇੰਦ ਧਧਕਯ ਚੰਦ ਭੰਭਜਿਗ ਦਿਵਾਕਰ ॥
Ganas and others shrunk with fear, the elephants of he directions wondered
ਗਜੇਂਦ੍ਰ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਚੰਦ੍ਰਮਾ ਧੜਕਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਸੂਰਜ ਭਜਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਡੁਲਗ ਸੁਮੇਰੁ ਡਗਗ ਕੁਮੇਰ ਸਭ ਸੁਕਗ ਸਾਇਰ ॥
The moon was frightened and the sun ran hither and thither, the Sumeru mountain wavered, the Tortoise became unsteady and all the oceans dried up in fear
ਸੁਮੇਰ ਡੋਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕੁਬੇਰ ਥਿੜਕ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਸਾਰੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਸੁਕਣ ਲਗੇ ਹਨ,
ਤਤਜਗ ਧ︀ਯਾਨ ਤਬ ਧੂਰਜਟੀ ਸਹਿ ਨ ਭਾਰ ਸਕਗ ਥਿਰਾ ॥
The meditation of Shiva was shattered and the burden on the earth could not remain in equilibrium
ਸ਼ਿਵ ('ਧੂਰਜਟੀ') ਦੀ ਉਸੇ ਵੇਲੇ ('ਤਤਜਗ') ਸਮਾਧੀ ਛੁਟ ਗਈ ਹੈ, ਧਰਤੀ ਭਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਹਿ ਸਕੀ ਹੈ।
ਉਛਲਗ ਨੀਰ ਪਛੁਲਗ ਪਵਨ ਸੁ ਡਗ ਡਗ ਡਗ ਕੰਪਗੁ ਧਰਾ ॥੫੪੩॥
The water sprang up, the wind flowed and the earth staggered and trembled.543.
(ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਦਾ) ਪਾਣੀ ਉਛਲਣ ਲਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਹਵਾ ਪਿਛਲੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਚਲਣ ਲਗੀ ਹੈ, ਧਰਤੀ ਡਗ ਡਗ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਡਗਮਗਾਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਈ ਕੰਬ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ॥੫੪੩॥
ਚਲਗੁ ਬਾਣੁ ਰੁਕਿਗ ਦਿਸਾਣ ਪਬ੍ਰਯ ਪਿਸਾਨ ਹੂਅ ॥
With the discharge of arrows, the directions were covered and the mountains were pulverized
ਬਾਣਾਂ ਦੇ ਚਲਣ ਨਾਲ ਦਿਸ਼ਾਵਾਂ ਰੁਕ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਬਤ ਪੀਠੇ ਜਾਣ ਲਗੇ ਹਨ।
ਡਿਗਗੁ ਬਿੰਧ ਉਛਲਗੁ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਕੰਪਗੁ ਸੁਨਿ ਮੁਨਿ ਧੂਅ ॥
Of war, the sage Dhruva trembled
ਵਿੰਧਿਆਚਲ ਡਿਗਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ, ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਉਛਲਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਧ੍ਰੂਹ ਮੁਨੀ (ਧ੍ਰੂਹ ਤਾਰਾ) ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਕੰਬਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ,
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਬੇਦ ਤਜ ਭਜਗੁ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਸਣਿ ਤਜਗੁ ॥
Brahma abandoned the Vedas and ran away, the elephants fled and Indra also left his seat
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਵੇਦ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇੰਦਰ ਇੰਦ੍ਰਾਸਣ ਛਡ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ,
ਜਦਿਨ ਕ੍ਰੂਰ ਕਲਕੀਵਤਾਰ ਕ੍ਰੁਧਤ ਰਣਿ ਗਜਗੁ ॥
The day on which the Kalki incarnation, thundered in rage in the battlefield
ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਕਲਕੀ ਅਵਤਾਰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਰਣ ਵਿਚ ਗਜਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ।
ਉਛਰੰਤ ਧੂਰਿ ਬਾਜਨ ਖੁਰੀਯ ਸਬ ਅਕਾਸ ਮਗੁ ਛਾਇ ਲੀਅ ॥
On that day, the dust of the hoofs of the horses, springing up, covered the whole of the sky
ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੁਰਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਠੀ ਧੂੜ ਨੇ ਸਾਰਾ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਮਾਰਗ ਢਕ ਲਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਜਣੁ ਰਚੀਯ ਲੋਕ ਕਰਿ ਕੋਪ ਹਰਿ ਅਸਟਕਾਸ ਖਟੁ ਧਰਣਿ ਕੀਅ ॥੫੪੪॥
It seemed that in his rage the Lord had created the additional eight skies and six earths.544.
(ਇੰਜ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਤ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ) ਮਾਨੋ ਭਗਵਾਨ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿਤ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਅੱਠ ਆਕਾਸ਼ ਰਚ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਹੋਣ ਅਤੇ ਛੇ ਧਰਤੀਆਂ ਬਣਾ ਦਿੱਤੀਆਂ ਹੋਣ ॥੫੪੪॥
ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਾਰੁ ਚਕ੍ਰਵੇ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਸਿਰ ਸਹੰਸ ਸੇਸ ਫਣ ॥
On all the four sides, all including Sheshnaga are wondering
ਚੌਹਾਂ ਪਾਸੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਫਣਾਂ ਵਾਲਾ ਸ਼ੇਸ਼ਨਾਗ ਵੀ ਪਰੇਸ਼ਾਨ ਹੈ।
ਧਕਤ ਮਛ ਮਾਵਾਸ ਛੋਡਿ ਰਣ ਭਜਗ ਦ੍ਰਵਣ ਗਣ ॥
The heats of the fish also throbbed, the ganas and others ran away from the war-arena
ਮੱਛਲੀਆਂ (ਦਾ ਹਿਰਦਾ ਵੀ) ਧੜਕਣ ਲਗਾ ਹੈ। ਆਕੀ ਰਣ-ਭੂਮੀ ਛਡ ਕੇ ਭਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ (ਸ਼ਿਵ) ਗਣ ਪਸੀਜ ਗਏ ਹਨ।
ਭ੍ਰਮਤ ਕਾਕ ਕੁੰਡਲੀਅ ਗਿਧ ਉਧਹੂੰ ਲੇ ਉਡੀਯ ॥
ਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਿੱਧਾਂ (ਯੁੱਧ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿਚ) ਗੋਲਾਕਾਰ ਵਿਚ ਉਪਰ ਉਡ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਬਮਤ ਜ੍ਵਾਲ ਖੰਕਾਲਿ ਲੁਥ ਹਥੋਂ ਨਹੀ ਛੁਟੀਯ ॥
The crows and vultures violently hovered over the corpses and Shiva, the manifestation of KAL (death), is shouting in the battlefield, without dropping the dead from his hands
ਸ਼ਿਵ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲੋਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਛੁਟ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਜਵਾਲਾ ਉਗਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਟੁਟੰਤ ਟੋਪ ਫੁਟੰਤ ਜਿਰਹ ਦਸਤਰਾਗ ਪਖਰ ਤੁਰੀਯ ॥
ਸਿਰਾਂ ਦੇ ਟੋਪ ਟੁਟਦੇ ਹਨ, ਕਵਚ, ਲੋਹੇ ਦੇ ਦਸਤਾਨੇ, ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਝੁਲਾਂ ਫਟ ਰਹੀਆਂ ਹਨ।
ਭਜੰਤ ਭੀਰ ਰਿਝੰਤ ਮਨ ਨਿਰਖਿ ਸੂਰ ਹੂਰੈਂ ਫਿਰੀਯ ॥੫੪੫॥
The helmets are breaking, the armours are being torn and the armoured horses are also getting frightened the cowards are running away and the warriors seeing the heavenly damsels are getting allured by them.545.
ਕਾਇਰ ਭਜ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ, ਸੂਰਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਅਪੱਛਰਾਵਾਂ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਪ੍ਰਸੰਨ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਫਿਰਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ॥੫੪੫॥
