ਚੌਪਈ:
ਚਲੀ ਚਲੀ ਅਬਲਾ ਤਹ ਆਈ ॥
ਚਲਦੀ ਚਲਦੀ ਇਸਤਰੀ ਉਥੇ ਆ ਪਹੁੰਚੀ
ਦਾਬਿਯੋ ਜਹਾ ਮੀਤ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
Travelling and travelling, the destitute reached there where her companion was buried.
ਜਿਥੇ (ਉਸ ਦਾ) ਸੁਖਦਾਇਕ ਮਿਤਰ ਦਬਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
ਕਬਰਿ ਨਿਹਾਰਿ ਚਕ੍ਰਿਤ ਚਿਤ ਭਈ ॥
ਉਸ ਕਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਮਨ ਵਿਚ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ
ਤਾਹੀ ਬਿਖੈ ਲੀਨ ਹ੍ਵੈ ਗਈ ॥੪੩॥
She was taken aback on seeing the grave, and fully engrossed in his imagination, breathed her lost.(43)
ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਵਿਚ ਲੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਈ ॥੪੩॥
