ਮਃ ੫ ॥
Fifth Mehl:
ਪੰਜਵੀਂ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹੀ।
ਜੀਵੰਦਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਮਰੰਦਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥
One who remembers the Lord while he is alive, shall be imbued with the Lord's Love when he dies.
ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਜੀਊਂਦਿਆਂ (ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ) ਪਰਮਾਤਮਾ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਰੱਖਿਆ, ਤੇ ਮਰਨ ਵੇਲੇ ਭੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ ਰਿਹਾ, ਰੰਗਿ = ਪਿਆਰ ਵਿਚ।
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਤਾਰਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੨॥
The precious gift of his life is redeemed, O Nanak, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||
ਹੇ ਨਾਨਕ! ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖਾ ਜੀਵਨ-ਰੂਪ ਅਮੋਲਕ ਚੀਜ਼ (ਸੰਸਾਰ-ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਵਿਚ ਰੁੜ੍ਹਨੋਂ) ਬਚਾ ਲਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ = ਕੀਮਤੀ ਚੀਜ਼, ਅਮੋਲਕ ਸ਼ੈ ॥੨॥
